What an amazing and nostalgic night I had at Lancaster Grand theatre, when I went to see Hazel O’Connor. I used to have posters on my wall of her when I was fifteen years old and I still regard her as one of the most talented singer songwriters to come out of the UK. It was great to sing along to all the ‘Breaking Glass’ numbers and I also enjoyed the jazz influence the band now has. Backed by a tremendously talented band, which includes pianist and vocalist Sarah Fisher who has played with the Eurythmics and also Claire Hirst on Saxaphone and vocals, who has played with bands such as The Communards, the evening was a real treat. I was even more delighted that I was photographing the concert as well -Now where are those hair crimpers!!!
