Hollie and Daniel- Muncaster Castle

Wow! What a long day it was photographing Hollie and Daniel’s wedding at Muncaster Castle this summer. I say Muncaster Castle, but that was only part of this wonderful day and I enjoyed every minute.

I started at Hollie’s house in Egremont and all was very busy with makeup artists and hairdressers, working their magic on the Bride and bridesmaids.

We then took the half hour journey to Muncaster at which time it was raining but brollies up and everyone managed to dash in and keep dry.

After the ceremony, photographs were taken inside which is always a challenge at Muncaster as it is rather low light, but a beautiful building for a wedding.

Fortunately, the couple had booked me for all day and after their wedding breakfast, the sun shone and it was like a completely different day.

We took a trip over to the breath taking Waste Water ( I was corrected by locals to pronounce it Wost Water), by Tony from Cars of Distinction, based in Langwathby. I have known Tony for years and it was lovely to have a ride out down the country lanes in his beautiful 1949 Rolls Royce Wraith.

The scenery provided a spectacular backdrop for some lovely images and it was great to photograph in a location I had never used before.

We returned to Muncaster and the couple danced the night away in The Old Laundry, back at Muncaster.

I was ready for a sit down by the time I had driven an hour and a half back home!!
